This site offers a selection of books about the breeding and rearing of popular canary varieties, such as the Border, Gloster, Fife Fancy, Yorkshire and Norwich Canaries, the Lizard Canary, and the rarer types such as the Glasgow or Scotch Fancy and also the Lancashire and London Fancy. Each book deals also with what is known about their origin, history and development.
There is also an interesting account of the discovery of colour feeding in The Cayenne Intrigue. A full list of titles and other pages can be seen at the Site Map. These titles are available direct from the publisher by return post. Also to be found are links to other useful sites dealing with avian requirements.
